Netflix has released a first look photo showing off “Saltburn” actor Barry Keoghan’s role in the “Peaky Blinders” movie. Tom Harper directs from a script by series creator Steven Knight.
Cillian Murphy will return to reprise his iconic Thomas Shelby role alongside various regular cast members like Stephen Graham and Sophie Rundle, while Rebecca Ferguson and Tim Roth will join the franchise for the first time. [Source: Netflix]
The Chronicles of Narnia
Following reports that Netflix and IMAX are in early talks to release Greta Gerwig’s film adaptation of “The Chronicles of Narnia” through the large screen format distributor, a new report suggests a Thanksgiving 2026 date is being targeted for the IMAX run ahead of releasing on Netflix that Christmas.
That would be the same pattern that “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” got in 2022, but it had only a one-week very limited theatrical release. Even with those restrictions, that film still made $15 million at the box-office in that week. [Source: THR]
Last Night At The Lobster
Wagner Moura, Sofia Carson, Oscar nominee Brian Tyree Henry and Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss will star in comedy-drama “Last Night At The Lobster”. Moura will direct the film based on the novel by Stewart O’Nan and filming will begin early next year.
The story follows chain seafood restaurant manager Manny who, a week before Christmas, discovers the restaurant is closing down and he must choose who to take with him to the next location. [Source: Deadline]
American Speed
Amazon MGM Studios has reportedly landed the “American Speed” project revealed a few weeks ago which will star Tom Holland and Austin Butler. Charles Roven is producing.

Mortal Kombat 2
Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line have released a silhouette picture of villain Shao Kahn as he’ll be seen in Simon McQuoid’s upcoming “Mortal Kombat” sequel releasing next year.
Producer Todd Garner posted the photo which does confirm that actor Martyn Ford will be sporting the classic skull mask in the film. In the lore, the character rules as the emperor of the Outworld realm. The film opens October 2025.
