The final two episodes of Marvel’s “Agatha All Along” aired this week as a double episode and so far they’ve pulled in pretty good numbers.

The second-to-last racked up 4.6 million views in its first day of streaming whilst the ninth episode pulled in 3.9 million. In comparison, the series premiere pulled in 3.1 million in its first day and the most recent seventh episode landed 4.2 million.

With the entire series now available, it’s expected binge watchers will begin catching up on the show this weekend which should push numbers higher. The series premiere pulled in 9.3 million views in one week – tripling its first day figures.

It’s not clear if that multiplier has applied to subsequent episodes, but the numbers so far suggest the series is pulling in “Ahsoka” and “The Acolyte” style numbers.

With the show now over, showrunner Jac Shaeffer has answered some questions. First up, she was asked if there’s any possibility of a second season to which she says:

“There’s not a reason it can’t happen. It’s just right now there’s nothing I can report about that. That’s what my answer is.”

Patti LuPone was famously a little carefree about spoiling the show over the past 18 months or so, in the process giving some hints that people took the wrong way (such as the claim it was a musical). Asked if they were worried about that, Shaeffer says:

“Patti said a number of things early on that we were all like [reacts], but that became its own thing. Like Patti LuPone can’t stop, won’t stop. And I love watching her press because the lady has no Fs left to give. I don’t know if she ever had any Fs to give. So bless Patti Lone, and it’s my hope that we can see her again at some point.”

The series offered no post-credits sequence and no hints at anything further beyond characters potentially re-emerging some day. Speaking with TV Line, Shaeffer says the decision not to include a stinger wasn’t hers: “That’s a Marvel decision. I know nothing more than that…[I] was told that we weren’t going to do a tag on this show. That doesn’t affect my work, or my vision for the show.”

“Agatha All Along” is now available in full on the Disney+ service.
