After a series of enigmatic teasers involving an empty house, NEON has premiered the first proper trailer for Oscar-winning filmmaker Steven Soderbergh’s new supernatural thriller feature “Presence”.
The film tackles the haunted house genre with the film shot entirely from the first-person perspective of the ghostly spectre haunting a house where a new family moves in and gradually discovers they are not alone.
As the trailer indicates, this house holds things like a family, secrets, ‘unimaginable acts’ and… a presence.
“Jurassic Park” scribe David Koepp penned the script for the film which stars Lucy Liu, Julia Fox, Chris Sullivan, Callina Liang, Eddy Maday and West Mulholland.
The film premiered at Sundance earlier this year where NEON acquired the film for U.S. release. It will arrive on screens January 24th.
Soderbergh also has the espionage thriller “Black Bag” on the way a few months later with that starring Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, Regé-Jean Page, Marisa Abela, Naomie Harris, Pierce Brosnan, and Tom Burke.
