Back in August came the news that fast food restaurant Chick-fil-A was planning a streaming service boasting a large slate of originals.
The fried chicken sandwich company has been working with a number of major production companies and studios to create family-friendly shows for the service – mostly unscripted fare.
Today comes the news that the service has a name – Chick-fil-A Play. The free app boasts family-friendly original series, podcasts, games, video-based recipes, crafts and books.
The first project announced is “Legends of Evergreen Hills,” an animated series about a girl, Sam and her friends who are able to create literal sparks whenever they do an act of kindness.
The sparks come from a secret world and a sinister villain wants to steal all that spark power. The show launches on November 18th.
The service also features the Chick-fil-A Cows, a group of crazy cows going on playful new adventures.
In the announcement, the service says it’s “designed for parents and kids to share and experience together whether they’re enjoying a meal at home, in the drive-thru, or anywhere in-between.”
