Star Wars: Skeleton Crew
New photos from the next “Star Wars” series “Skeleton Crew” are up at Empire Online along with confirmation of the directors on the series – Lee Isaac Chung, David Lowery, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Schreier and The Daniels.
The photos also include a first look at Nic Frost’s SM-33 droid, a robot inspired by Smee from “Peter Pan”. [Source: Twitter]
Fallout
“Deadpool & Wolverine” actress Leslie Uggams, who played Vault 3 Overseer Betty Pearson in the firsts season of Amazon’s “Fallout” TV series, says the second season of that series will begin filming in November.
She adds that Betty has “got some things up her sleeve” in the new run. Going by the first season’s filming schedule, the show may not return to the streamer until 2026. [Source: Screen Rant]
Eva Mendes
Eva Mendes has revealed that she’s retired from acting, saying the only movie project that would persuade her to return is one alongside her husband Ryan Gosling, saying it’s the “one thing I would love to do”.
She tells The Sunday Times: “I was never in love with acting. I don’t mean this in a self-deprecating way, but I wasn’t a great actress. I had my moments when I worked with really great people.” [Source: X]
Alien: Romulus
Filmmaker Fede Álvarez used Beyond Fest celebrations to announce a limited-edition VHS version of his recent sci-fi/horror hit “Alien: Romulus”. That videotape version hits December 3rd and boasts custom artwork hailing from acclaimed artist Matt Ferguson. [Source: X]
