Afrer a brief tease in June, Aardman Studios has released the first full trailer for their upcoming “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl” film which sees the return of supervillain penguin Feathers McGraw from the original 1993 Oscar-winning short “The Wrong Trousers”.
Arriving sixteen years after “A Matter of Loaf and Death,” the new adventure sees Gromit grow concerned as Wallace becomes over-dependent on his inventions.
This proves justified when Wallace invents a ‘smart gnome’ that seems to develop an evil mind of its own. But who or what could be the cause? Could it be under the control of a certain incarcerated bird?
As events begin to spiral out of control, it’s up to Gromit to put aside his qualms and battle sinister forces, or Wallace may never be able to invent again. Creator Nick Park returns while Merin Crossingham directs.
The voice cast includes Ben Whitehead returning to voice Wallace, the eccentric cheese-loving inventor, and Peter Kay back as Chief Inspector (formerly PC) Mackintosh. Also onboard are Lauren Patel and Reece Shearsmith with cameos from Diane Morgan, Adjoa Andoh and Lenny Henry.
“Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl” and will premiere this Christmas on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Outside of the U.K., the film will be made available globally through Netflix from January 3rd 2025.
