Marvel Studios is rumored to be developing a video game, one that, for the first time, will be set entirely within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Though numerous games based on Marvel properties exist, most notably Insomniac’s “Spider-Man” games and titles like Crystal Dynamics’ “Marvel’s Avengers,” none have been set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe of the movies and Disney+ series.
That may be about to change as scooper My Time To Shine Hello is reporting that a game is in the works that will be set in the same universe as the MCU, presumably running alongside events of the MCU and potentially even influencing events.
A few years ago came the news Electronic Arts made a deal with Marvel Entertainment to produce three new video games for them – the first being the still-in-the-works “Iron Man” game from EA Motive.
Those games however are all to be set in their own respective universes, so this one is a different project entirely and still in very early stages of development.
Various non-MCU games are coming in the next few years, the big one being Insomniac’s “Wolverine” game which has been in development for some time.
