Last year’s gaming smash hit “Hogwarts Legacy” looks to be getting a ‘Definitive Edition’ soon according to a new report at Insider Gaming.
The outlet indicates the title will add around 10-15 hours of new additional content including new story quests, side quests, activities, and outfits.
The extra content will also be sold as a separate DLC for those with the existing game. Details on when the edition and/or DLC will be released are still in flux, as is the price – though it’s suggested to be between $20 and $30.
One suggestion is that it could release early in 2025 to bolster WB’s bottom line in comparison to this year when “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” was released in that window and bombed badly.
Warner Bros. Discovery CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels indicated earlier this year that developing a follow-up is “one of the biggest priorities in a couple of years down the road.”
Released early in 2023, “Hogwarts Legacy” sold over 24 million copies by January of 2024 and is still moving enough copies to be in the top ten best-selling games of this year.
