By The highly popular action crime series “Reacher” just scored an early fourth season renewal at Amazon Prime Video.
Making the announcement today, the streamer also confirmed that the third season will debut sometime in 2025. The second season was the most-viewed 2023 release on Prime Video says Amazon.
No details have been revealed about which of Lee Child’s books series will serve as the source for the fourth season as yet. The third season will be based on the book “Persuader”.
That season sees Alan Ritchson’s Reacher undercover to rescue an informant held by an enemy from his past. Maria Sten, Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Daniel David Stewart and Olivier Richters co-star.
The news comes just a week after a spin-off series focusing on Sten’s Frances Neagley character was announced. That follows her private investigator character looking into a close friend’s death due to a suspicious accident.
“Reacher” is written for television by Nick Santora, who is also the showrunner and executive producer. Ritchson, Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell executive produce.
