Will Smith is looking to re-team with filmmaker Michael Bay who helped launch his action film career with the original “Bad Boys” in 1995.
Bay is in final negotiations to direct the Netflix action feature “Fast and Loose” which has long had Smith set to star. Though a start date hasn’t been set, it’s believed to be the next project for both of them.
Smith, who recently exited the thriller “Sugar Bandits,” will play a man who wakes up in Tijuana after being left for dead with absolutely no memory. He follows a string of clues to uncover his identity discovering he’s been living two different lives.
One, as a highly successful crime kingpin with all the lavish lifestyle that comes with it. The other is an undercover CIA agent with a puny salary, no family or home life whatsoever, and zero trappings of success.
The problem is he can’t remember which of these two personas is his true identity and which life he really wants to live. Smith, Leitch, Kelly McCormick, Jon Mone, Ryan Shimazaki and James Lassiter are producing.
The script was written by Jon Hoeber, Erich Hoeber, Chris Bremner and Eric Pearson. Smith, Kelly McCormick and David Leitch will produce.
