By SEGA has revealed that a sequel to 2014’s “Alien: Isolation” is in the works at the game’s original developer Creative Assembly.
The announcement coincided with the 10th anniversary of the release of the first game ono consoles and PC. The first game’s director Al Hope is returning for the sequel and advises the title is in “early development”.
Hope adds in the official statement: “We look forward to sharing more details with you when we’re ready.”
The original game unfolds fifteen years after “Alien” and places you in the shoes of Amanda Ripley, Ellen’s daughter, as she sets out on a horrifying mission to unearth the truth surrounding her mother’s disappearance.
Boasting the retro-futuristic aesthetic of the original 1979 film, the game emphasizes stealth and survival horror gameplay over action and was noted for its A.I. use in regards to the Xenomorph which can pop up at essentially any time.
These days, the game is considered the best “Alien” game made to date and one of the great video games of all time.
