Suits: L.A.
The first photo is out of the late John Amos’ guest starring spot in the pilot of NBC’s new spin-off series “Suits: L.A.” with the appearance, filmed in April, set to be Amos’ final acting role.

“Suits: L.A.” has yet to set a premiere date and follows Ted Black (Stephen Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. [Source: TV Line]

Sherlock
A decade ago it was one of the biggest shows on TV around the world, Now, in a new interview with Deadline, producer Sue Vertue says chances of a revival of The BBC’s “Sherlock” are possible but it’s up to getting Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman back onboard:

“It’s just getting everybody aligned, it’s getting the actors to want to do it. We love that show and there is a future for it. One day. Maybe. If everyone wants to do it.”

Untitled Simu Liu AI Series
Melissa Barrera, Sinclair Daniel, Brian d’Arcy James, Mark O’Brien and Kathleen Chalfant have joined an untitled Simu Liu-led A.I. thriller series at Peacock. Thomas Brandon and Jennifer Yale will serve as co-showrunners.

Liu plays a first-generation-American intelligence analyst at a shadowy agency who realizes his brain has been hacked, giving the perpetrators access to everything he sees and hears. He must maintain a performance 24/7 to flush out who’s responsible and prove where his allegiance lies. [Source: Variety]

ABC Signature
Disney is making major structural changes to its TV departments – shuttering its ABC Signature studio and combining its operations with 20th Television. In addition, the comedy and drama development teams at Hulu and ABC are merging. The reorganization will also result in about 30 layoffs.

ABC Signature’s current productions include “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Amazing Race,” “Criminal Minds: Evolution,” “How to Die Alone” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live”. [Source: THR]

Promos
A whole bunch of TV promo trailers have been released in the past day or so that are worth a look.

There’s Max’s trailer for the Halloween special of adult-animated comedy “Velma” premiering October 3rd, the trailer for the Billy Crystal-led psychological thriller series “Before” premiering October 25th, and the full trailer for the HBO superhero filmmaking comedy “The Franchise” which premieres October 6th.

There’s also the trailer for the second season of the Peter Capaldi-led Emmy-nominated thriller “The Devil’s Hour” which returns October 18th on Prime Video, and another teaser for the second season of “Squid Game” which is back on December 26th.
