One thing you won’t see on TV schedules this Fall is a new season of “American Horror Story,” the first time that has happened since the show premiered in 2011.
That said, those wanting their Ryan Murphy fix aren’t short on content right now with the horror-themed “Grotesquerie”; the first season of “American Sports Story”; his new medical drama “Doctor Odyssey”; and new seasons of “Monster,” “9-1-1” and “9-1-1: Lone Star” having all launched in the past two weeks.
In addition, he has another season of the episodic anthology series “American Horror Stories” premiering in a few days. But when will we get the next chapter of his signature anthology series?
Speaking with THR, he teases that it’s coming “sooner than you think” and adds that he “was talking to Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters about that the other day”.
That quote has quickly fanned speculation that both actors, who broke through with their work in the series, will return for the thirteenth after having sat out the ninth, eleventh and twelfth seasons.
FX has only renewed the series through a thirteenth season so there is the possibility this will be the final one, and a possibility the actors could be reprising characters from previous seasons.
