The most recent trailer for “Venom: The Last Dance” confirmed that Knull, God of the Symbiotes, will serve as the villain of the upcoming third and final feature in the franchise.
However the character’s face wasn’t shown, only a mess of white hair over them looking downwards. Since then, there’s been speculation as to who will play him and one rumor claimed it to be “The Walking Dead” alum Norman Reedus.
Now, scooper Daniel Richtman and several others have chimed in with all reporting that none other than Andy Serkis (“The Lord of the Rings,” “Andor”) will be playing the role.
They add that Serkis, who has experience with the franchise having directed the second “Venom” film, is “expected to reprise the role in future Sony/Marvel projects, which means we could be seeing a whole lot more of Knull.”
The report follows previous and still unconfirmed rumors that Knull will be the main villain of “Spider-Man 4” with Venom (Tom Hardy) joining forces with Peter Parker (Tom Holland) to battle him. Those rumors took a blow today after Hardy posted the following statement on Instagram:
“That’s all she wrote for me and the big guy we promise to make this the best of them all. We’ve loved making these. Thankyou for your love and support – come join us for the Last Dance. For those of you that enjoy a good time from all of us in the team – Let us entertain you.”
“Venom: The Last Dance” will be released in theaters on October 25th.
