Disney+ has premiered the first trailer for “Music by John Williams,” a feature documentary about the 92-year-old legendary film composer.
The movie explores Williams’ background and family, and has a bunch of famed filmmakers and artists praising the man’s work from regular collaborators like Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, to the likes of J.J. Abrams and Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
In a career that has spanned seven decades, Williams has composed some of the most recognizable and acclaimed film scores in cinema history – winning 26 Grammy Awards, five Academy Awards, seven BAFTA Awards, three Emmy Awards and four Golden Globe Awards.
His music for “Star Wars,” “Jaws,” “Indiana Jones,” “Jurassic Park,” “Harry Potter,” “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” “Schindler’s List,” “E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial” and many more are known the world over.
In the clip, Williams is asked what his long career has meant to him. He says: “Music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music.”
Directed by filmmaker/author Laurent Bouzereau, “Music by John Williams” opens AFI Fest on October 23rd ahead of premiering on Disney+ on November 1st.
