Pixar’s “Inside Out” sequel pulled in 30.5 million views in its first five days of streaming on the Disney+ service.
The title arrived on the streamer on September 25th, and the result was both the biggest film premiere of this year, and the biggest premiere for a theatrical film on the service since 2021’s “Encanto”.
The streaming success follows in the wake of the film’s box-office success – surpassing “Frozen 2” as the highest-grossing animated film of all time with $1.7 billion on a budget of $200 million.
It also remains the highest-grossing film of 2024, and is one of only twelve films to ever hit $1 billion at the international box office.
The success has also benefitted the first “Inside Out” movie with Disney saying the first film has accrued more than 121 million views globally since the sequel’s teaser was released.
