Taking place between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019) and John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023), ballerina-assassin Eve Macarro begins to train in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma.
This movie has certainly been on my mind for quite some time, especially since the project has been talked about for months and years before being fully developed. So, it looks like 2025 is going to be the year where Ballerina finally comes out. The footage shown in this trailer looks really good and showcases plenty of potential for the feature, including a surprise appearance from Baba Yaga himself. As a minor complaint, I think that the overall title of the movie should’ve been shortened to Ballerina. I mean just typing “From the World of John Wick: Ballerina” is quite a mouthful to write and probably just as equally a mouthful to say. Overall, I’m quite excited to see how this movie ultimately plays out and how it will fit into the larger John Wick franchise. Let’s hope for this best.
