“Ressident Alien” star and “Firefly” alum Alan Tudyk has reportedly joined the cast of James Gunn’s “Superman” at Warner Bros. Pictures.
The project finished shooting back in July, so how his addition fits into the film isn’t clear – especially as details of his role are under wraps for now.
However, Tudyk is already a part of Gunn’s DC Universe – playing the voice of villain Doctor Phosphorus in the Max animated series “Creature Commandos” which will arrive in December.
Tudyk also has a long career voicing characters, including the droid K2SO from “Rogue One” which he’ll reprise in the second season of “Andor”. He also has a regular role voicing Clayface on Max’s “Harley Quinn” animated series.
Timing wise, the nature of the “Superman” role is quite possibly a voice over in nature. “Superman” itself is in the midst of post-production ahead of a July 2025 release.
Tudyk can next be heard in Disney’s “Moana 2” opening at Thanksgiving.
