A remaster of “Horizon Zero Dawn” has been announced for both PS5 and PC with the upgrade coming on October 31st.
Existing owners of the original game can get the remaster upgrade for $9.99, while the title will be available for new buyers for $49.99 on PS5, Steam and the Epic Game Store.
Nixxes, the team behind the most acclaimed PS5-to-PC ports, is handling the remaster. The overall aim of the upgrade will be to bring the game to the same fidelity as “Horizon: Forbidden West”.
This will include higher resolution textures and assets, new character models, re-recorded conversation & mocap, new features, and various graphical improvements including better draw distance and higher framerates.
There’s also major upgrades giving the game full DualSense features and much faster quick travel – all with the same goal of bringing the game more inline with visual fidelity and gameplay functionality of “Horizon Forbidden West”.
The title is also scoring PS5 Pro support and ultra-wide support on PC.
