Star Wars: Skeleton Crew
“Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” co-creators Jon Watts and Christopher Ford say that Dave Filoni was instrumental during the creation of the upcoming series, calling him a “figurative goalkeeper” who kept them to canon.

Watts says: “you feel like you can safely explore things creatively without making some huge canonical mistake” because Filoni was there to help. The series itself premieres on Disney+ in December. [Source: EW]

Pretty Little Liars
Max has cancelled the “Pretty Little Liars” teen slasher-themed reboot after two seasons. The show’s eight-episode second season wrapped in June revealing the true identity of ‘Bloody Rose’. [Source: TV Line]

Cold Case
CBS has abandoned the development of its reboot of the 2000s crime procedural series “Cold Case”, which ran for seven seasons. Kathryn Morris led that series about a division of the Philadelphia P.D. specialising in unsolved criminal cases. [Source: Deadline]

Veep
The cast of the Emmy-winning political comedy “Veep” will reunite for a virtual table read of that episode in support of “helping Dems win up and down the ballot in Wisconsin.”

Stephen Colbert will host the table read which will take place on September 29th at 8pm US-ET with castmembers reading the third season episode “Crate” in which Vice President Selina Meyer (Louis-Dreyfus) finds out the current POTUS is stepping down, elevating her to the Oval Office. [Source: THR]

Like a Dragon: Yakuza
Amazon Prime Video have released a new one-sheet for their upcoming TV series based on the popular “Yakuza” video game franchise which premieres October 24th.

The series follows the story of Kazuma Kiryu (Ryoma Takeuchi), a former yakuza who is drawn into a vast conspiracy involving his former clan and his best friend Akira Nishikiyama (Kento Kaku).
