By Legendary Television and Netflix have premiered the full trailer for their animated series “Tomb Raider: Legend of Lara Croft” which premieres October 10th.
Hayley Atwell, best known for portraying Peggy Carter across the Marvel universe in numerous films and more recently in “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning,” will voice Lara Croft in the series.
The story will serve as a continuation of the events of Square Enix’s highly acclaimed reboot video game trilogy that included 2013’s “Tomb Raider,” 2015’s “Rise of the Tomb Raider” and 2018’s “Shadow of the Tomb Raider”.
This will bridge the reboot trilogy to the original series of games and will be executive produced by Tasha Huo, who also writes. Also starring are Allen Maldonado as Zip and Earl Baylon as Jonah Maiava.
Dmitri M. Johnson, Timothy I. Stevenson, Jacob Robinson, Dallas Dickinson, Noah Hughes, Howard Bliss, Jen Chambers and Brad Graeber also executive produce. The series was animated by Powerhouse Animation Studios.
The project follows in the wake of two previous early 2000 live-action films starring Angelina Jolie and a 2018 reboot starring Alicia Vikander. Keeley Hawes and Camilla Luddington voiced the character over the 2006 and 2013 game trilogies respectively.
