With HBO and Max not releasing the second episode of its “The Batman” spin-off series “The Penguin” until next Sunday, the cabler has released a ‘In the Weeks Ahead’ trailer promoting the rest of the season.
The first episode launched a few hours ago and already has seen a big surprise that definitely cuts off any further comparisons the series could draw to one of the most famous Batman comic stories ever made.
Star Colin Farrell also recently spoke to People and revealed that he does a naked Oz Cobb scene in the series, albeit heavily in shadow, and artist Mike Marino fashioned a detachable velcro crotch prosthetic – one with a “beak at the end of it”.
Set a week after the events of “The Batman,” The Penguin sees Colin Farrell’s Oz Cobb attempting to seize power in Gotham’s criminal underworld following the death of Carmine Falcone.
Carmine’s daughter, Cristin Milioti’s Sofia Falcone, returns to Gotham and wants to take charge of the empire – putting her in The Penguin’s crosshairs.
The series also stars Clancy Brown as Salvatore Maroni, Rhenzy Feliz as Victor Aguilar, and Michael Kelly as Johnny Vitti. Seven episodes remain in the season with the second to air September 29th and the rest to run through to early November.
