“The Iron Claw” director Sean Durkin is reportedly in talks to board HBO’s DC Comics adaptation “Lanterns,” the filmmaker set to helm a ‘handful’ of episodes of the limited series. Chris Mundy (“Ozark”) is showrunner.
Ewan McGregor and Matthew McConaughey are rumored to be the frontrunners for one role in the series about two intergalactic cops investigating a murder in the American heartland. [Source: WoR]
Sublime
Former “Riverdale,” “Songbird” and “One Fast Move” star KJ Apa has been set to lead a planned biopic about the Californian band Sublime with notable “Blue Bayou” director Justin Chon attached to direct. Apa reportedly spent over a year pursuing the role.
Formed in 1988, the Long Beach band combined different musical genres ranging from reggae and ska to punk and more – resulting in songs like “What I Got,” “Pawn Shop,” “Badfish,” “Rivers Of Babylon,” and “Summertime”. Chon and Bobby Hundreds will co-write the screenplay based on an earlier draft by Chris Mundy. [Source: Rolling Stone]
Horizon Zero Dawn: Remastered
An ESRB listing confirms “Horizon Zero Dawn: Remastered” has been rated and will be coming to both PC and PlayStation 5 soon. The version is expected to update character models and assets from the original PS4 release to bring them in line with “Horizon: Forbidden West”. [Source: ESRB]
Nosferatu
A new poster has been released for Robert Eggers’ remake of F.W. Murnau’s iconic 1922 vampire film “Nosferatu” with the one-sheet offering a look at Bill Skarsgard’s menacing Count Orlok – albeit bathed in shadow.
Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Willem Dafoe, Simon McBurney and Ralph Ineson co-star in the film which hits cinemas Christmas Day.
