William Fichtner (“Heat,” “Armageddon”) is joining the Anne Rice Immortal Universe. The veteran actor has been cast in AMC’s upcoming six-episode series “The Talamasca” about the secretive group.
Fichtner takes on the series regular of Jasper, joining previously announced series lead Nicholas Denton. The project marks the third series in this joined universe following the highly acclaimed “Interview with the Vampire” and the popular “Mayfair Witches”.
The story will focus on the men and women responsible for tracking and containing the witches, vampires, and other creatures scattered around the globe.
Jasper is a mysterious American who has quietly assumed control and influence over the Talamasca’s London Motherhouse. His motives and methods are cloaked in shadow, but his charm and sense of purpose are dangerous.
John Lee Hancock and Mark Lafferty serve as executive producers and co-showrunners with Hancock also set to direct.
Filming commences in Manchester next month with the series slated to premiere on AMC and AMC+ in 2025.
