Yesterday came the final trailer for “Venom: The Last Dance,” the third and seemingly final film with Tom Hardy’s Venom character. The big reveal of the trailer though is the film’s villain – Knull, creator and God of the Symbiotes.
The inclusion caught people by surprise, including Knull character creators Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman with the latter saying on X they were unaware he was in the film until today.
Now a new rumor over at The Cosmic Circus (via CBM) suggests Knull’s inclusion here is just the start. They claim the plan is for the new film to set the stage for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Tom Hardy’s Venom to team up as part of “Spider-Man 4”.
The report indicates that by the end of “Venom: The Last Dance,” Hardy’s Eddie Brock will be fully in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The recent reshoots in New York for the film reportedly tie into that.
They’re also suggest Knull will be the villain for Spider-Man and Venom to take on in “Spider-Man 4”. As the film is aiming to release between the events of “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars,” it could well be the only time it could work as Marvel is expected to end its Multiverse Saga after ‘Secret Wars’.
Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, Stephen Graham, and Rhys Ifans also star in “Venom: The Last Dance” which hits cinemas October 25th.
