Microsoft is reportedly set to cutt another 650 jobs from its gaming division. The company’s head of gaming Phil Spencer shared the news with employees in a company-wide email. Spencer claims that the cuts would result in the cancellation of “no games, devices or experiences”. [Source: Game File]
Wicked: Part Two
Universal Pictures has moved up the release date of “Wicked: Part Two” by several days. Originally slated for November 26th 2025, it will now arrive November 21st 2025.
The news comes ahead of “Wicked: Part One” arriving in cinemas on November 22nd this year. Check out a new promo spot for Ariana Grande’s Glinda character in the film up on YouTube.
Your Monster
Vertical Entertainment has premiered the first trailer for Caroline Lindy’s horror rom-com “Your Monster” starring former “Scream” star Melissa Barrera. It opens in cinemas October 25th.
Based on a 2019 short film of the same name, Barrera plays a soft-spoken actress who finds a connection with a monster (Tommy Dewey) and is encouraged to follow her dreams, open her heart and fall in love with her inner rage. Edmund Donovan, Meghann Fahy and Kayla Foster co-star.
Lonely Planet
Netflix has premiered the first trailer for its romantic drama “Lonely Planet starring Laura Dern and Liam Hemsworth. The Susannah Grant-helmed film releases on the service on October 11th.
Dern plays a a reclusive novelist, partaking in a writer’s retreat in Morocco. There, she meets a young man (Hemsworth), whom she begins to bond with throughout their time there. Diana Silvers, Younès Boucif, Adriano Giannini, and Rachida Brakni co-star.
