Sony PlayStation’s spectacular failure with its live-service shooter “Concord” has reached its end with the servers for the game shutting down yesterday after just two weeks.
But that’s not the last we’ll see of it. An episode of the upcoming adult animated anthology series “Secret Level” on Amazon Prime Video is set within the “Concord” universe.
The series, was announced during Gamescom‘s Opening Night Live presentation this year, has various original stories set within the worlds of various video game series incuding Pac-Man, Mega Man, Sifu, Spleunky, The Outer Worlds and more.
With “Concord” being pulled from sale, there have been questions as to the fate of the “Concord” episode in “Secret Level”. IGN reports that according to its sources, the episode will remain in the line-up when the series launches December 10th.
The game itself, which was released on August 23rd for PC and PlayStation 5 to mixed reviews, was developed over a period of about eight years at Washington-based Firewalk Studios and is rumored to have cost well over $100 million to develop.
Sales of the game were so poor, reports suggesting it sold as few as 25,000 copies, that players began having trouble finding matches. Sales have been stopped, and those who bought the game on services such as PlayStation Store, Steam and Epic Games Store are expected to see refunds coming back to them shortly.
