Paramount+ has released the trailer for “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan’s new drama series “Landman”.
The contemporary set series boasts an impressive cast including Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm, Demi Moore, Michelle Randolph, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Jacob Lofland and Paulina Chávez.
The project is adapted from Christian Wallace’s 2019 podcast “Boomtown” which is set in the world of Texas oil rigs.
Thornton stars as Tommy Norris, aka the ‘Landman’, who serves as a peacekeeper and problem solver in this dusty landscape of an industry that makes billions a day in profit.
As Thornton’s character says in the teaser: “But before any of that money is made, you got to secure the land and manage the people. That’s my job. The first part is pretty simple, it’s the second part that can get you killed.”
Michael Friedman serves as director with scripts being done by Sheridan and Wallace. Executive producers include Friedman, Sheridan, Wallace, Scott Brown, Ron Burkle, Megan Creydt, Peter Feldman, David Glasser, Jason Hoch, David Hutkin, Geyer Kosinski, J.K Nickell, Bob Yari and Dan Friedkin.
“Landman” premieres on Paramount+ on November 17th.
