Get ready to meet….Steve as Warner Bros. Pictures releases the official teaser trailer for their upcoming film A Minecraft Movie. View trailer below.
Welcome to the world of Minecraft, where creativity doesn’t just help you craft, it’s essential to one’s survival! Four misfits—Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Myers) and Dawn (Brooks)—find themselves struggling with ordinary problems when they are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld: a bizarre, cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination. To get back home, they’ll have to master this world (and protect it from evil things like Piglins and Zombies, too) while embarking on a magical quest with an unexpected, expert crafter, Steve (Black). Together, their adventure will challenge all five to be bold and to reconnect with the qualities that make each of them uniquely creative…the very skills they need to thrive back in the real world.
I remember hearing about this movie for quite some time and was wondering when the first preview would be dropping. I am one of those people who knows of Minecraft, but never played it. Yes, it’s true. Well, technically I have played Minecraft: Dungeons, but I haven’t played the original game. Yet, I can see the fascination and worldwide acclaim that Minecraft has reached. So, it’s almost a forgone conclusion that a film adaptation of the popular game would be attempted sooner than later. The preview alone looks like a “teaser” trailer, which teases viewers for what the movie will be and showcasing the visual graphics and characters in the movie. From the preview alone, the trailer looks…okay. Wasn’t really “wowed” by it, but I didn’t hate it. It’s still too early to make an assumption, but…as of right now….I’m not super excited to see this movie. Yet, here’s to hoping that my opinions to change over time.
A Minecraft Movie arrives in theaters on April 4th, 2025
