This has led to speculation the studio will shift the sequel to its acclaimed PS5-exclusive “Stellar Blade” video game over to the new iteration of the engine after the first used the now dated Unreal Engine 4. Nicolas Winding Refn’s Next
Filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn confirms he’s returning to directing films with his Tokyo-based next film to shoot next year. The project, his first since 2016’s ”The Neon Demon”.

It doesn’t have a title, but has full financing and is based on an original story. He promise it will have “a lot of glitter and lot of sex and violence”. He’s also working on a game, calling gaming the “only art form that continues to evolve with possibilities creatively.” [Source: Variety]

I Want Your Sex
British pop star Charli XCX has joined Olivia Wilde and Cooper Hoffman in Gregg Araki’s new film “I Want Your Sex”. The thriller follows a young man who becomes the sexual muse for a famous female artist who is also his boss. Things quickly spiral. Araki co-pens the script with Karly Sciortino and filming begins in October in Los Angeles. [Source: Deadline]

Nobody Wants This
Netflix has premeired the trailer for actress/writer Erin Foster’s new semi-autobiographical series “Nobody Wants This” which sees Kristen Bell and Adam Brody leading a cast that includes Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Stephanie Faracy and Michael Hitcock.

The story follows an agnostic podcast host and an unconventional rabbi on the rebound walk into a party. When they walk out – together – the unlikely pair can tell there is something between them if only their differing approaches to life and busybody families don’t get in the way. The series debuts September 26th.

Spa Weekend
Leslie Mann, Isla Fisher, Michelle Buteau, and Anna Faris will star in female ensemble comedy “Spa Weekend” at Black Bear and Suzanne Todd Productions. Jon Lucas and Scott Moore (“Bad Moms”) direct.

The story follows three best friends as they embark on a luxury spa break in Palm Springs. But when a trainwreck friend shows up, the trio’s period of much-needed pampering descends quickly into chaos. [Source: Deadline]

The End
New photos and a poster have officially been released by NEON for “The Act of Killing” filmmaker Joshua Oppenheimer’s new post-apocalyptic musical narrative feature “The End” starring Tilda Swinton, Michael Shannon, Moses Ingram, Lennie James and George MacKay. No release date for the film is yet set.

Set to premiere in Telluride and Toronto, the story follows a rich family living in a salt mine converted into a luxurious home as the earth around them has apparently been destroyed, but their son has never seen the outside world. As a young girl appears at the entrance of the bunker, the balance of the family is threatened.
