2005’s Australian horror film “Wolf Creek” is making a comeback with a revival on the way.
Greg McLean, who directed the film and its 2013 sequel, is producing the film titled “Wolf Creek: Legacy” with John Jarratt to reprise his role of Outback serial-killer Mick Taylor.
In the film, a family of American tourists wander innocently into Taylor’s hunting grounds. When the parents sacrifice themselves to save their children, the kids find themselves alone, lost and hunted in the vast Australian wilderness.
Will these two wily, resourceful Zoomers prove harder for the ageing predator to consume? Jay Ryan (“IT: Chapter Two”) is the sole cast member cast so far, with the key casting of the kids currently underway.
Sean Lahiff, who edited the second film, will take on the role of director this time while “Resident Evil” producer Jeremy Bolt is newly aboard.
Kristian Moliere and Bianca Martino also produce, while Duncan Samarasinghe is penning the script. Filming will take place in the first quarter of 2025.
