This sounds like a great event.

Today Ubisoft announced XDefiant’s in-game charity drive, in collaboration with the nonprofit organization Direct Relief, to help raise funds that will help victims affected by natural disasters or poverty.

Ubisoft is teaming up with Direct Relief, a humanitarian aid organization that is active in all 50 states, and approximately 100 countries, with a mission to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies, without regard to politics, religion or ability to pay.

Starting today at 5 pm PT until August 30, XDefiant players can purchase a “Four Alarm” bundle from the in-game store. This limited-time bundle includes:

De Rosa Four Alarm Rare Character Skin

Kersey Four Alarm Rare Character Skin

Players who purchase the bundle will also unlock the skins’ characters if they have not been unlocked.

The bundle will be available for 1,000 XCoins ($10), with 100% of sales going directly to Direct Relief to fund worldwide disaster relief efforts.

“Direct Relief is privileged to serve communities impacted by disasters around the globe. To do so in partnership with Ubisoft and its communities of like-minded players is an honor,” said Gloria Parrish, Director, Corporate & Brand Partnerships at Direct Relief. “We look forward to a successful XDefiant campaign.”

“At Ubisoft, we believe that games bring people together and keep them connected,” said Ben Huang, MTX Director at Ubisoft San Francisco, the lead studio for XDefiant. “However, environmental and other disasters, such as the large wildfires here in California, cause massive displacement and imminent disruption to people’s lives. We’re proud to team with Direct Relief and help support a cause that is very near to us. By bringing our players together, we hope to help bring change to those in need at a time of crisis.”

Founded in 1948, Direct Relief has provided more than $16 billion in essential medicines, equipment, and supplies and more than $350 million in grants to health organizations in 136 countries around the world, including communities affected by climate-driven natural disasters.

Developed by Ubisoft San Francisco,* XDefiant is a free-to-play, fast-paced arcade shooter featuring factions inspired from some of Ubisoft’s beloved franchises.
