By Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” ahead of its release this Christmas.
Filmmaker Jeff Wadlow has confirmed that the third “Sonic the Hedgehog” has wrapped filming ahead of its planned Christmas 2024 release.
Ben Schwartz, Colleen O’Shaughnessey and Idris Elba will reprise their voice roles of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles respectively alongside returnees Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik along with James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, Lee Majdoub, Tom Butler and Alyla Browne.
Joining them, and new to the films, are Keanu Reeves as the voice of Shadow the Hedgehog along with Krysten Ritter, Sofia Pernas, Cristo Fernández, James Wolk and Jorma Taccone.
The two “Sonic” films to date have pulled in $870.8 million, even with the first one slightly hobbled by the pandemic. Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, Toru Nakahara and Hitoshi Okuno produce.
“Sonic the Hedgehog 3” opens in cinemas December 20th.
