Warner Bros. Pictures has premiered the official trailer for the documentary “Super/Man” about the late Christopher Reeve.
The film follows the late actor’s rise to superstardom as Superman, along with his fight to find a cure for spinal cord injuries after he became a quadriplegic after a horse riding accident.
Ian Bonhote and Peter Ettedgui, who directed 2018’s “McQueen” and 2020’s “Rising Phoenix,” are directing the project with Reeve’s family all involved in the making of it.
Plenty of never-before-seen personal archive material is included in the documentary which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January to rave reviews.
After being so impressed with it, Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the documentary with plans for a release. They set a September 21st single-night theatrical release for the film, in collaboration with Fathom Events.
That will be followed by another one on September 25th which would’ve been Reeves’s birthday.
