“The Librarians” supernatural drama series franchise is returning to the fold at TNT.
The upcoming spin-off series “The Librarians: The Next Chapter” was pulled by The CW last week from its planned Fall 2025 series schedule – replacing it with reality series “The Wranglers”.
TNT has now swooped in and acquired the show from Electric Entertainment, which produces the series.
Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment at The CW says:
“We are thrilled that the series’ original network TNT loves it as much as we do and saw great value bringing it to their audience. It’s a first for CW Studios and we cannot wait for fans to experience this incredible next chapter.”
The original series followed the adventures of the custodians of a magical repository of the world’s most powerful and dangerous supernatural artifacts.
This follows a Librarian (McGowan) from the past who time traveled to the present and now finds himself stuck here after he inadvertently releases magic across the continent.
He is given a new team to help him clean up the mess. Callum McGowan, Jessica Green, Olivia Morris, Bluey Robinson and Caroline Loncq, and Christian Kane star.
