Emmy winner James Spader will return to the MCU, reprising his role of the voice of Ultron in Marvel Studios’ currently untitled “Vision” TV series.

Paul Bettany is reprising his role as Vision in this follow-up to “WandaVision” which is expected to follow the fully-white Vision we saw at the end of that show as he searches for a new purpose in life.

Terry Matalas, who scored much acclaim for his showrunner work on the third season of “Star Trek: Picard,” is in charge of the new show which has been nicknamed “Vision Quest”.

Ultron was the villain of 2015’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” film, a peacekeeping A.I. created by Tony Stark that became corrupted by the Mind Stone and sought to wipe out humanity.

Ultron created Vision but the Avengers took him and gave him consciousness with the remains of A.I. program J.A.R.V.I.S. – ultimately turning into a being who helped the Avengers. Ultron was seemingly destroyed at the film’s end.

The “Vision” series plans to film in England in early 2025.
