Long Story Short
“BoJack Horseman” creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg is returning to Netflix for the new adult animated comedy series “Long Story Short” to debut next year. Focusing on a family over a period of time with all their shared history, inside jokes, and old wounds.
Bob-Waksberg will write and serve as showrunner on the series and will executive produce alongside Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen for Tornante Television. Lisa Hanawalt is supervising producer and will also design the original art. [Source: Netflix]
The Assassin
Keeley Hawes and Freddie Highmore have scored the lead roles in Amazon Prime Video’s currently filming six-episode thriller series “The Assassin” which hails from “The Tourist” creators Harry and Jack Williams.
The series follows a retired assassin (Hawes) who reunites with her estranged son (Highmore) on a secluded Greek island. The awkward reunion becomes a fight for survival when Julie’s checkered past forces the duo to go on the run.
Gina Gershon, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jack Davenport, Alan Dale, Gerald Kyd, Devon Terrell, Richard Dormer, and David Dencik co-star. More castings will be announced at a later date. [Source: Deadline]
My Brilliant Friend
HBO has released a new full trailer for the fourth and final season of the coming-of-age drama “My Brilliant Friend”. The series returns for its last outing from September 9th.
The final sesson delves into the adult lives of Elena and Lila. They find themselves entangled in the turmoil of Italy in the late 1980s. Amid motherhood and career demands, amid betrayals, threats, disappearances, and natural disasters, Elena and Lila once again reside in the same neighborhood.
