Acting icon Tim Curry is making a return to the big screen… today.
“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” actor, who hasn’t acted on screen since black comedy “Burke & Hare” in 2010, will appear in the horror film “Stream” which was written, directed, and produced by Michael Leavy.
“Stream” also multiple horror legends including Jeffrey Combs, Tony Todd, Dee Wallace, Danielle Harris and Bill Moseley in a film about four killers who lock down a remote hotel and proceed to find ways to creatively kill the guests.
The feature hit select theaters today with Curry’s involvement in it kept secret until its release. Speaking with Variety, Leavy has nothing but gushing about getting Curry back on the screen:
“We are so happy and thrilled to bring Tim back to the movies and back to the big screen! His charm always radiates and shines through everything he does and we are so honored to have him a part of ‘Stream’!
He is someone I have idolized personally growing up and it is one of the major highlights of my life getting to work with him, especially on a project that means so much to me.”
Curry suffered a serious stroke in 2012 and has spent recent years doing voice work on animated shows including “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”. He has one hell of a resume including films like “Clue,” “Congo,” “The Hunt for Red October,” “Legend,” “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” “Kinsey,” “The Three Musketeers,” “Muppet Treasure Island” and the “Stephen King’s IT” mini-series.
