By Former “Lost” star Matthew Fox has signed on to star in the new Max drama thriller series “The Assassin” which hails from writer-producer John Glenn (“SEAL Team”).
Written by Glenn and based on the book series by British novelist Tom Wood, the project centers on a merciless assassin known only as Victor (Fox).
Betrayed by an anonymous client, he finds himself hunted across the globe by multiple enemies, including relentless CIA operatives and an utterly ruthless contract killer.
Victor must discover his betrayer and deal with the resurfacing spark of humanity within him that threatens his chances of survival.
Glenn will serve as showrunner and executive produces alongside Fox, Wood, Nicolas Atlan, Holly Brown, Geoff Shaevitz and William Choi. Gaumont and Entertainment 360 are backing the series.
Wood has authored eleven novels and two short stories centered on the Victor character so the series has plenty of material to draw from.
