Warner Bros. Discovery has reportedly decided not to release Genndy Tartakovsky’s R-rated adult comedy animated feature “FIXED” and has returned the film to Sony Pictures.
The story follows Bull: an average dog who discovers he is going to be neutered in the morning. As the gravity of this life-altering event sets in, Bull realizes he needs one last adventure with his pack of best friends before he gets ‘fixed’.
Idris Elba, Kathryn Hahn, Adam Devine, Bobby Moynihan, Fred Armisen, Beck Bennett, River Gallo and Michelle Buteau lend their voices to the New Line Cinema and Sony Pictures Animation production.
Sony now has to put the project at a streaming service or another distributor. Tartakovsky has called it a “sweet, charming, sincere story of friendship and romance” along with a tribute to 2D hand-drawn animation.
He has also made it clear the humor in the film will not be pop culture based. Tartakovsky’s is coming off his “Primal” and “Unicorn: Warriors Eternal” TV series and the “Hotel Transylvania” film franchise.
