Famed composer Michael Giacchino (“The Incredibles,” “Inside Out,” “Star Trek”) has revealed the first music for Marvel Studios’ upcoming “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” film which just recently began production.

The 3min 30sec clip, which was shared at a music-themed panel at D23 today, is the same piece of score played on the ‘test footage’ clip for the film that was shown off at San Diego Comic Con the other week.

The rousing and upbeat bit of music is perfectly fitting the film’s retro aesthetic as the film adopts the look of a 1950s/60s sci-fi feature in terms of its production and art design. Reactions to the footage out of San Diego, which was leaked online, has been overwhelmingly positive.

The film stars Pedro Pascal who will play Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby who will play Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn who is Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach who is Ben Grimm/The Thing.

Ralph Ineson, Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne and Julia Garner are also on board the film which is filming in London. “WandaVision” creator Matt Shakman directs from a script by Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.

Peter Cameron (“WandaVision”) has also worked on the script for the film which will hit cinemas July 25th 2025.
