By More details have seemingly emerged about filmmaker J.J. Abrams’ mysterious new movie which will star Glen Powell and Jenna Ortega.
The project marks a return to directing features for Abrams who last helmed “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”.
Though plot details are under wraps and no production start date has yet been revealed, a Production Weekly listing reportedly indicates the film is going by the working title of “Acorns”.
In addition, the story involves a “young married couple struggling to survive against a supernatural entity.” A new report at The Insneider goes into the project, saying it’s a fantasy film with some ‘Last Starfighter’ vibes.
They reportedly add it doesn’t take place in space and it’s a throwback (much like “Super 8”). However, it’s noted that the script has apparently drawn mixed reception from insiders who have read it.
Abrams has been out and about recently promoting his works as an executive producer on Apple’s “Presumed Innocent” and Amazon’s “Batman: Caped Crusader” series.
