The “John Wick” franchise is coming to TV again, and this time everyone’s involved.

Lionsgate Television is developing “John Wick: Under the High Table,” a new TV series set after the events of the four films. In the series, Wick has left the world of the High Table in a tenuous position.

As a result, a collection of new characters will look to make a name for themselves while some franchise stalwarts remain committed to the old-world order. The series will “combine new and old and thrust the Wick universe into a new age.”

The previous attempt at Wick on TV was “The Continental,” a prequel TV series none of the talents from the film series were involved in and which was seen as a critical flop.

Lionsgate isn’t making that mistake again – here both Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski are among the executive producers, while Robert Levine (“The Old Man,” “Black Sails”) is attached as writer and showrunner.

In addition Stahelski, who has creative oversight of the franchise, is also set to direct the pilot episode. Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee will also executive produce.

The project is currently being shopped around to potential buyers.
