By With the film now having two weekends in cinemas under its belt, Marvel Studios has officially released a bunch of spoiler images from production on its “Deadpool & Wolverine” film.
MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD
The photos show Channing Tatum’s Gambit, Wesley Snipes’ Blade, Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, Chris Evans’ Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Henry Cavill’s Wolverine on the set doing scenes. There’s also a shot of Wolverine’s mask, among others.
In addition, a feature piece in The New York Times has run going into the cameos. For example, there were talks about bringing back Nicolas Cage as Ghost Rider and whilst they had a conversation, it didn’t progress nay further.
Director Shawn Levy says that Cavill was inhaling cigar smoke for 8 hours straight to shoot his scene, as a result he was quite sick the next day. Cavill himself joked about his cameo: “To be safe, I shaved the moustache off for this one.”
Channing Tatum meanwhile got emotional about finally getting to play Gambit, saying: I thought I had lost Gambit forever. But he fought for me and Gambit. I will owe him probably forever. Cause I’m not sure how I could ever do something that would be equal to what this has meant to me.”
