Marvel Studios’ “Deadpool & Wolverine” is dominating the global box office with plenty of discussion centered around all the cameos in the film and its overall swansong to the 20th Century Fox-Marvel films.
SPOILERS AHEAD FOR “DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE”
One cameo however that has promoted a bunch of discussion is a scene with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor – partly because Hemsworth wasn’t involved in filming it (it was built from archival “Thor: The Dark World” footage and then digitally edited).
In the scene, Deadpool shares a conversation with Mr. Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen) at a Time Variance Authority facility, during which Wade gets a glimpse of his supposed future as an Avenger.
In the clip, Thor is holding a fatally wounded Deadpool and crying. Before an explanation is given, Mr. Paradox switches to another topic.
Fans have multiple theories and now Reynolds has addressed the mystery saying he knows the truth – but wouldn’t share, saying only: “I know why Thor was crying. I can’t unknow it.”
Speculation will continue for some time as the film is expected to hit around $750-800 million globally by the end of this coming weekend.
