By A couple of trailer releases today worth a look. First up, is “Slingshot” which follows an astronaut who struggles to maintain his grip on reality aboard a possibly fatally compromised mission to Saturn’s moon, Titan.
Swedish filmmaker Mikael Håfström (“1408”) helms the film which stars Laurence Fishburne and Casey Affleck lead a cast that includes Emily Beecham, Tomer Capone, David Morrissey, and Mark Ebulué.
R. Scott Adams and Nathan Parker pens the film which hits cinemas August 23rd.
Lionsgate has released the trailer comedic crime feature “Greedy People” starring Himesh Patel, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Lily James, Tim Blake Nelson, Uzo Aduba, Nina Arianda, Jim Gaffigan, Joey Lauren Adams and Simon Rex. Potsy Ponciroli helms the film which opens August 23rd.
Patel plays a small-town cop who is accidentally present at a crime scene where someone dies. He and Gordon-Levitt’s fellow cop discover a huge pile of secret cash inside the victim’s home and take the money.
Finally, Saban Films has revealed the trailer for the crime thriller “The Clean Up Crew” starring Antonio Banderas which its VOD on August 20th. Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Melissa Leo co-star in the film from director Jon Keeyes.
In the film a crime scene clean up crew discovers a briefcase full of money, and they must out smart a criminal kingpin and corrupt FBI agents who want it back.
