Millennium Media and Ketchup Entertainment have released a second trailer for “Hellboy: The Crooked Man,” the trailer coming hot on the heels of its release at San Diego Comic Con.
In the live-action film, Hellboy (Jack Kesy) and a rookie BPRD agent (Adeline Rudolph) are stranded in 1950s rural Appalachia. There, they discover a small community haunted by witches and led by a local devil with a troubling connection to Hellboy’s past – the Crooked Man.
Said man is Jeremiah Witkins, an 18th-century miser and war profiteer hanged for his crimes yet returned from Hell as the region’s resident Devil.
For the first time in the franchise to date, original creator Mike Mignola has penned the script alongside his Dark Horse comics collaborator Chris Golden. Jefferson White, Joseph Marcell, Hannah Margetson and Martin Bassindale co-star.
Brian Taylor (“Crank”) directs the film, which offers a smaller focus story than either the two beloved Guillermo del Toro-directed features, or Neil Marshall’s panned 2019 reboot.
