Marvel Studios held its Hall H panel in San Diego with glimpses of “Captain America: Brave New World” and “Thunderbolts” leading into a look at the new “Fantastic Four” film.

The film is now being titled “The Fantastic Four – First Steps” and Marvel is sticking to its July 25th 2025 release date. Filming on the project begins on Tuesday with the look described as “retro future of the 1960s”.

Brief glimpses of pre-shoot material (eg. costume tests) were shown including a scene of Pedro Pascal teaching a science class. Also shown in person was the blue Fantasticar which looked like something from “The Jetsons”.

There was also early footage of Galactus with his face peering through a building. Additionally, Michael Giacchino will compose the score.

Also confirmed is that the “Fantastic 4” characters will appear in both upcoming “Avengers” films.

The panel also showed the first trailer for “Thunderbolts” which hasn’t been released online. nothing much was revealed from the panel, though co-star Florence Pugh said: “That’s the joy of watching them together is that they don’t play well together”.
