A whole bunch of release dates, most of which revolve around streaming premieres, have just been announced.
First up, Steven Soderbergh’s new film, the spy thriller “Black Bag” starring Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett, has set a theatrical release date of March 14th 2025.
David Koepp pens the film which began shooting in May in the UK and also stars Rege-Jean Page, Naomie Harris, Tom Burke and Pierce Brosnan.
Next, Netflix has announced a September 6th premiere date on its service for “Green Room” and “Blue Ruin” director Jeremy Saulnier’s action thriller “Rebel Ridge” starring Aaron Pierre.
Ti West’s “Maxxxine” is reportedly targeting an August 2nd PVOD release, while Baltasar Kormákur’s “Touch” has set its PVOD release for July 30th.
In the SVOD front, Hayao Miyazaki’s “The Boy and the Heron” has set a September 6th premiere date on the Max streaming service. Wes Ball’s “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is coming to Hulu on August 2nd, and Jeff Nichols’ “The Bikeriders” is coming to Peacock and regular VOD on August 9th.
Finally, Warner Bros. Discovery has set dates for George Miller’s “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga Black & Chrome Edition” which hits digital on August 13th and disc on September 24th.
