By The CW has premiered the trailer for the fourth and final season of “Superman and Lois” which returns with a double episode on October 17th.
The new run will see the return of series regulars Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Alex Garfin as Jordan Kent, Michael Bishop as Jonathan Kent and Michael Cudlitz as Lex Luthor.
All other cast are back for either guest or recurring roles, and they are joined by Yvonne Chapman as Amanda McCoy and Douglas Smith as Jimmy Olsen.
The ten-episode run follows in the wake of the third season finale in which the inverse Superman becomes Doomsday and renders Clark unconscious, carrying him into space. Clark awakes and hurles the monster onto the surface of the Moon.
The trailer indicates the world things Superman (and Clark) are dead as Lois and the kids try and move on whilst Jordan tries to fill in as a superhero now that his dad has gone.
Lex Luthor also comes into play with Cudlitz offering a fairly sinister take.
